Bobby wanted to be a famous gold miner and meeting Bruce one day, dry blowing, seemed to fit in with his ambition. Bruce however, lived in a humpy in the bush, and his humble status was an embarrassment that prevented a close relationship with the boy's widowed mother. "Only a prince can marry a princess," he told the lad.
