Anger & Love

As a child of a closeknit and loving family in rural Western Australia, Justina Williams could never understand why thousands went hungry while farmers tilling a bountiful soil could never get decent prices for their produce.

Thus were sown the angry seeds of a lifetime working to change an unjust world and fighting for the cause of the downtrodden and oppressed.

A long-time member of the Communist Party, Williams participated in some of the most momentous political events in Australian history, while remaining close to her family roots and the love that had nurtured her.

She tells her story with great sensitivity and charm, never allowing politics to obscure her faith in the goodness of humankind. 

This is a turbulent and eventful life story, but one with many moments of peaceful reflection, and very few regrets. It ends not with the bitterness of failure, but with contentment at what was achieved, and hope for the future.
