Christmas at Tuppenny Corner

Liverpool, 1939

As summer comes to a close and rumours of war float up and down the canals, fifteen-year-old Rosie O’Leary is coming to terms with all the changes in her life.

Forced to say goodbye to her dear horse and make way for a new step-father aboard the Wild Swan, Rosie is lonelier than ever. She turns to the handsome Tim Bradley for support, and it’s not long before their friendship grows into something more.

But as the rumours turn into reality and Tim leaves to join the RAF, any hopes Rosie had of a future together are crushed. As life on the canals proves tougher than ever before, Rosie must find the courage to carry on and hope for a miracle this Christmas.
