The book contains colour plates of over one hundred different camellias, and includes chapters on buying camellias, planting out, care and attention, container culture, propaga-tion, exhibiting camellias, a section on compatible plants, as well as an extensive nomenclature chapter.
The authors have had a life long interest in gardening and horticulture and have been members of the Australian Camellia Research Society for many years. Bob Savell has served on the N.S.W. Foundation Branch Committee, held the positions of Treasurer and Vice-President, and served several years as editor of the Branch Newsletter. He has a very extensive collection of camellias, containing over 200 cultivars and species, as well as several hundred seedlings.
