Journal of a First Fleet Surgeon

George Bouchier Worgan's Journal of a First Fleet Surgeon is a rare and vivid firsthand account of the early days of European settlement in Australia. Worgan, a naval surgeon aboard the Sirius, kept this journal between 20 January and 11 July 1788, documenting the voyage to New South Wales and the fledgling colony's first months at Sydney Cove.

 Published by Library of Australian History in 1978, this edition has red and black veined coves with gilt lettering to spine.
