Judicial Murder The Crown vs David Young

It was the 28th of December, 1864 at about 11:30pm when a most brutal murder was committed in the riotous town of Daylesford.

Murder was nothing new, but this was something very different.

The victim was a young wife of 6 weeks, only 17 years old, and viciously attacked in her bed. The hunt was on to find the perpetrator and there were many suspects. Eventually the constabulary settled on David Young; he was tried, convicted and executed.

But it would appear that everything about that conviction was unsound. How could this happen? 

This is the true story of those events and the desire to address a dreadful wrong.
