The corrected edition of the best-known Australian work of one of Britain's most famous authors.

The corrected edition is of the Selzer text, first published in 1989.

Kangaroo tells the story of Richard and Harriet Somers, escaped from war-torn Europe into the Australian landscape.

Although, in their stay, they become deeply attached to Australia, they learn that white inhabitants have much to answer for, but the novel attempts to offer a more pleasing image of a white community.

The author also wrote 'The Boy in The Bush' whilst in Australia, but has written numerous works, including 'Sons and Lovers'.
