Menzies' Child: The Liberal Party of Australia, 1944-1998

Menzie's Child tells the story of the Liberal Party of Australia from its formation in October 1944 to 1994. It is a history book, but also an autobiographical account of the individuals who made the Liberal Party - Robert Menzies, Elizabeth Couchman, Paul Hasluck, Garfield Barwick and Malcolm Fraser. It is the story of success and failure at both national and state levels, and an analysis of the reasons for the party's successive Federal election losses.
