Blue Mountains Grammar School's survival for over eighty years has been the outcome of a decidedly shaky past. Whilst a backdrop of breathtaking natural beauty has always been an inspiring school setting, it has also meant a small population base. T

he struggle to find students and the use of such creative financial solutions as the sale of daffodils have been hallmarks of the years of uncertainty.

The school's story is told here by over 150 former and present students and their parents, teachers and friends, with the backing of documentation where available. These tales, peppered with nostalgia, struggle, humour and vision, remind us of the vigour and enthusiasm of youth.

Those qualities and much hard work have ever so slowly turned struggle into success and dream into reality.
