My Blood's Country. A Journey Along Australia's National Trail

Five thousand kilometres, zig-zagging across the Great Divide from the ancient rainforests of Australia's tropical tip to its snow-capped southern alps, Australia's National Trail is one of the last great challenges on earth.

Inspired by the vision of legendary bushman RM Williams in conceiving the idea, and the courage of numerous horsemen and adventurers in mapping it and creating the reality, journalist/author Phil Jarratt and photographer Jan Subiaco set out to capture the spirit of the Trail in words and pictures.

Travelling by foot, horse, boat and 4WD, they spent months in the wilderness tracking the routes of the pioneers, and discovering too, that in the wild places of Australia the pioneer
spirit is far from dead.
