Paint Works

Paint Works is of unique interest to everyone involved in teaching and creating art.  It contains paintings by students from Cromehurst Special School and presents the innovative techniques used.  Its purpose is to show the results of an experimental approach to painting and to inspire others to develop creative expressive art.
the techniques involve the use of a variety of materials such as sand, plaster, wax, string and styrofoam as well as inks, crayons and paints.  Imaginative methods of application are suggested including wash, spray painting, scaping, printing and developing relief, collage and overlay effects.
The inventive nature of the techniques combined with the visual excitement of the paintings provide a welcome stimulus for all who would like to express themselves in paint or encourage others to do so
