Saving Zali

This is the story of Zali, 18-month-old daughter of the author (Lisa Venables) who was diagnosed with Langerhan's cell histiocytosis, or LCH, a cancer resistant to chemotherapy and almost impossible to treat.

Zali was given six weeks to live. Although Zali survived her original prognosis, her condition worsened. A controversial treatment was proposed - never used before in Zali's condition.
