Tell the Children: Memories from World War II Veterans and Essays from School Children

1942 was a tumultuous time in Australia's history.

In 2002, to commemorate the 60th anniversary of that time, Queensland Premier Peter Beatie invited students from State High Schools and Colleges to participate in a 'Battle for Australia' essay competition.

Their stories plus individual personal experiences are included in this book .
