The Grevillea Book: Vol 1

Grevilleas are among the most horticulturally desirable plants of the Australian flora.

Published in association with the Society for Growing Australian Plants-NSW Ltd this book is the first in a comprehensive three-volume study of the genus. Early chapters in Volume 1 examine the genus from a historical perspective and include fascinating accounts of the people involved in the collection, classification and cultivation of grevilleas since European settlement. The following chapters focus on the distribution, biology, propagation and cultivation of the genus.

Other features of this volume include an illustrated key to assist identification, a comprehensive checklist of the major characteristics and requirements of the species, and an appendix describing the authors' recent revision of the genus.

The text is illustrated with over 110 colour plates including reproductions of Bauer's historical botanical prints which have never been published before.
