Selections from Public and Private Collections celebrating the Soccer Career of Pelé.
Volume 1: 1940-1969
Volume 2: 1970-1977
These two volumes are based on Selections from Public and Private Collections that celebrate the soccer career of the internationally famous player, Pelé. They contain an Introduction and Commentaries by Pelé himself.
Nascimento known as Pelé is widely regarded to be the greatest football player of all time. He began playing for Santos at 15 and the Brazil national football team at 16. He was the star player when Brazil won three FIFA World Cups in 1958, 1962 and 1970: the only player ever to do so; and is the all-time leading goal scorer for Brazil with 77 goals in 92 games.
Pelé’s electrifying play and penchant for spectacular goals made him a star around the world. Since retiring in 1977, Pelé has been a worldwide ambassador for football. In 2010, he was named the Honorary President of the New York Cosmos.
